!!!!97 SPEC ITR SWAP INTO EG *PROBLEMS.!!!!
Ok so Im helping my friend out with his swap its a 97 spec jdm itr swap into eg. Here's the problem everything is completely done, car starts and drives, but when u floor it seems to back fired bog out miss ect & also wont rev up pass like 4k im guessing since rpms go crazy. Idk what it could be all the wiring seems right I used his oem harness its a 93 civic si by the way the motor has obd2 injector and obd2 dizzy i used obd2a plugs i had laying around and converted the harness plugs over. Another thing is that the rpms stay at 0 when idleling and when u give it gas they jump all over the place like crazy. If it helps we r using a mugen N1 ecu for jdm itr's.
Specs
97 jdm ITR motor
mugen N1 ecu obd2a
boom slang obd1-obd2a conv harness
obd2 dizzy
obd2 injectors
harness converted to use obd2 dizzy n injectors
Need help asap trying to get the car ready to run at the next drag ivent in wisconsin.

It would have been easier to use an OBD1 distributor and injectors. Sounds like you mis-wired your distributor wires. did you cut the distributor plug wires?

The CPS is located in the distributor and is not serviceable, to my knowledge.
Get a new distributor.
On a side note, I recently had a problem with the tach jumping all over the place at high RPM and the car cutting out. A new coil fixed the problem.

OBD1 would have been the way to go, but since neither here nor there we'll move onto step 2.. Was the previous motor B series..?? You could swap dizzy's or just swap the internals from ur last dizzy into the itr dizzy... I used the internals from a B7 dizzy into my Z6 and everything worked flawlessly after I threw a Cyl Pressure Sensor code.. As far as the car not going over 4k, check the TPS & MAP sensors... I'd start there and if its still not fixed I'd post back with an update... GL
