97 hx won't shift- I'm stumped
I replaced the clutch on my 97 civic hx (manual 1.5l) about 3 months ago... Did some engine work, everything was good for a while, last week it started getting hard to shift, and sometimes impossible so me and my boyfriend looked at it two nights ago... We were trying to bleed the clutch and weren't getting a steady flow so we replaced the hose, replaced the slave cylinder AND the clutch (had warranties), bled the clutch a few more times... The pedal got stiffer and you can shift gears while the car is off (couldn't before we started) but still can't get the car in gear when it's on... I bought this car in January and so far have replaced EVERYTHING under the good, idk what went wrong with the clutch or transmission but they were working fine til now.... Any ideas??

You need to pull the rubber boot back and make sure the slave cylinder is pressing the clutch release lever when you push in the clutch pedal. I'd bet you didn't bleed it well enough.

The bar is moving. New slave and master new clutch even replaced the resivior because I thought it was leaking possibly. I'm stumped and ne'er had a problem like this that I couldn't figure out and I've done at least 30 clutches.anymore ideas?
