97 ex engine noise

97 ex engine noise
Got a strange noise coming from the motor cant tell if its the timing chain or if i spun a rod, but the noise only happens during acceleration, and i have no power when i do try to accelerate. I have owned the car 3 days, any advice

Could be lots of things. I'd check the timing first. If the car sat for any length of time before you purchased it, I'd expect issues with the fuel system. Good luck.
