the dome light on my friends gfs 97 civic dont work when you open the doors but works fine otherwise. i know installing an aftermarket radio causes power loss to features cause the way the factory radio is wired to certain things. ive installed a new cd player. what wires would i have to splice together to give the dome light power when the doors are opened?

This only applies to Civics 96-98....The 99-00 do not need this trick to make the domelight work properly.

ive tried just getting the plug thats made by scoche that just snaps into the harness instead of cutting the wiring (not that i couldnt do it tho). well every audio shop i call has no effing clue what im talking about. so have they never installed a radio in any 96-98 civics? lol idiots. ill proly just wire it myself this weekend.

Pick one up at Wal-mart. They have them there as well.

i looked on the way home from work. they didnt even have the reg. honda radio harness

Yeah...Walmart sells them for under $10 while other places charge around $15+. WTF?!!
