Default 97 ex brakes, installing 00 Si brakes

Okay, i found a killer deal on a full 4 wheel 00 Si brake set up.

I'm getting all the brake lines, e-brake cables, etc.

He told me the proportioning valve is still on the car, so in addition to that, what else should i get before i do this brake swap.

you should only need the rear setup. I beleive the front is the same size between the ex and si. If you can get the booster and MC it should be bigger and the portional valve would be useful but not needed.

Well, i'm buying the complete brake setup, including all front suspension, so i'll be putting on an energys suspension master kit in the process as well.

You do of course know that your front brakes on your ex are identical to those on the 99-00 si right? same spindles, rotors, calipers, booster, master cylinder, etc.... Only thing of value in the 4-wheel setup is the prop valve, e-brake cables, and rear disc setup.

this is all true. but, if you're getting ALL of the front suspension from the si, including the front lca and the shock fork, then you can run the si front sway instead of your ex. if you get those parts, then get an es master set for an si not an ex, because the front lca bushings are different (don't ask how i know). and the prop valve isn't required, but you may as well do it since you'll be flushing the fluid.

You don't need the porp valve... It's the same.

Honda proportioning valves only separate diagonally for safety reasons. Right front to left rear, and left front to right rear. This way if one of the hard lines from the M/C is damaged you will only loose one front and one rear brake. They are not front to rear proportioning!

Either way you won't hurt anything to change it, you may just not need to. On my EK the part #'s were the same to the 99-00 SI.

Why would you want the bigger 26mm sway? Who wants more understeer? Unless you have an oversized rear and need it to balance out the car. Also the SI prop valve is not the same as the EX prop valve. I've checked the part numbers...

yes, yes, those honda engineers must be retarded.

bigger front sway + bigger adjustable aftermarket rear sway (comptech) and/or stiffer rear springs = better handling.
