Default 97 ek - put auto trans in drive and nothing

I got a 97 ek that never has given me any warnings at all I went to get some ice cream up the street backe out of my driveway and put in drive and had nothing went thru all the gears thinkin maybe it was cold and needed to seat nothing. Turned the car off and on and it went into drive but it starts to slip after like 10 feet.fluids were up there maybe a lil brown but I changed the trans fluid with genuine Honda fluid jus to rule it out. It still slips ba and most if the time won't even click into gear unless I turn it off and on again. Do I need a torque converter or trans or solenoid please help

In my opinion, you should shop for a replacement DX auto transmission. You may be able to pick up one for cheap as most people prefer the manual transmission.

That's most likely what I'm gonna do being as the replacement parts are pretty much the same as new trans and less work
