Default 97 delsol help

I have a delsol all stock unless a twinloop exhaust mugen (obx replica)

I dont know much about the motor I have in my car... Its a D16Y8 SOHC V-TEC (96-00 Civic)

The ECU is a P28 ..

What's the best spec for this car (not wasting much money like turbos and nitrous,

no big modifications, just to get more power and torque) ...

Tks

I don't know what you mean by spec, but bolt ons on that Y8 is going to put you with a lighter wallet and that's about it. You can spend 1100 on intake/header/exhaust to get 5 hp or you can spend 2200 on a turbo setup ( a nicely non ghetto junkyard setup) to make an extra 60-80.

If you want any power out of your SOHC VTEC motor, you need to either spend a ton of money on headwork and higher compression, or you need to look into forced induction.

Oh yeah, what are you talking about HRV motor?

First of all junk that p28 cause it's obd2, find a obd1 p28 and start from there, cause anything you do you might want to be able to tune it to get your maxium potental. FI or NA

You just need to get the adapter harness by your ecu so you can run a obd1 ecu, all the wires in your engine bay should be fine, as far as the motor it's really up to you what you want to go with. **** if you had the $$$$ then I would say go K20

Well if you don't know what a k20 is then you need to do a little more searching cause you only got one more post left so make it count

Hey Lee, Ive been making a lot of searching, but i didnt see yet any civic eg,ek or sol with k20a installed...

Anyway here in Portugal its not difficult to get one at lower price, its more $$ to get a turbo installed, so its a good idea but ...

Are u sure the k20a fits in a sol ? ..If so im gona need to make some more changes than if i was getting a b16a

Other Q: The sol chassis handle all that?

When you say best spec, do you mean performance or economical ?
