Default 97 civix ex turbo vs mini me

ok it boils down to this, me and my buddy where deciding what to do with my newly purchased 97 civic ex with a d16y7 y8 trans, dont ask long story, and ive been talkin about a mini me swap and hes been tellin me turbo it cuz the money im gonna spend on the mini me i could turbo it. what do you guys think, should i do the mini me eventually or just not bother with it

what would be the point of a mini-me swap when you already have a sohc vtec?

and comparing a "mini-me" swap, which will net you what 10hp, to a turbo is like asking should i get a new header or turbo.
