97 civic won't start with key but...can remote start it
I can use my remote start with my alarm to start the car. When I try with the key nothing happens. The ACC turns on the lights,radio etc but I get nothing when I try to start it. The alarm was put in about 8 months ago and has worked fine. This issue just came up.
I had a mechanic look at the clutch switch under the dash last night but even holding the switch it wouldn't start.
Any ideas are really appreciated. Thanks

ill pop the cover off tomorrow and check the wires. Any particular wires on the column that I should be looking at?

Your ignition switch is probably bad. The Honda dealer should have a bazillion in stock and right up at the front counter too because those always get broken when cars get stolen.
