97 Civic Si/B16a2 swap/B18c1 ECU - Can't Read engine codes
I have a 1997 Honda Civic Si with a B16a2, and sir Tranny.
I have a b18c1 ECU and I have engine light blinking like crazy. I can't connect it to the computer it won't read.
I told the car OBD reader under car description as 1997 Honda Civic, then 1999 Honda Civic SIR, then 1999 Acura Integra, still nothing
What can i do?

Re: Can't Read engine codes
You probably have a JDM ECU or someone has converted to OBD1? Either way

Re: Can't Read engine codes
He is in Canada^^
OP, you need to figure out if you have an OBD1 ECU or OBD2. Do you have an ECU conversion harness installed? That would be a giveaway.
If the correct ECU set-up is in place, blinking CELs while the engine is on is either knock, or misfiring

Okay, the link you posted I will try tomorow, I think thats the way to check,
I didnt know these cars were obd1, i always thought obd2
Yes i am in Canada, and its a 97 Si
I do not have a conversion harness, When i got the motor and ecu and tranny, i told the person I need a plug and play one so i can just put it in without changing harness etc. And he gave me a b18c1 ecu and it just plugged in and worked(after changing starter -.-)
I will again try it tomorow with the loop etc
