97 civic shaking bad
my 97 civic with a b16 sir2 swap is shaking while accelerating. it has gotten worse and worse. what should i look for first i was thinking tie rods and lower control arms need to be replaced. or should i replace whole suspension. i also have a bolt missing on my transmission mount. could that cause the horrible shake.

Re: 97 civic shaking bad
the car shakes while accelerating until i hit 4th gear or about 50 mph. the shaking seems to stop once i hit that speed. brand new cv axles. doesent shake while braking or while at stand still.

sorry guys but please.... for fvck sake give HT some more details.
as most of us are professional mechanics - we are used to quite a few vague definitions of what may or may not be the problem. but we need details, as many as possible as to what this type of shake feels like, what rpm, if it's motor-related or just something that could be bushings, balljoints, etc.
no disrespect or attitude intended. hope i didn't come off as a d!ck.

It would also be beneficial not only to those who are trying to help you solve the problem, but if there are other members out there who have problems like yours, they may be able to solve it without creating another thread. Think: ripple effect.
