I remember I had the same problem, and using the threaded rod from a 2002 civic solved it.

Yep civic si cables are what you need. But be careful some reason I see parts places selling integra cables as civic cables which confuses me. But yea to the point si civic ebrake cables and really you don't want to reuse ebrake cables ever.

Just go to hondaautomotiveparts.com and scroll thru parking brakes.. I got my parts from there and fast since they are located from RI.

How were you able to replace the rod?

Or you can get them a lot cheaper from Rock Auto, or even Amazon.

I don't remember what it took, but I was able to. If I am correct, I think ju just need to drill a rivet or roll pin out and replace it with a bolt and nut.

rev. My car is a 98 civic hatchback, and the donor car was a 94-01 integra. measure the lenght on your adjusting rod, and go to the junkjard and get one that is longer. I am 95% sure the one I got was a 2001 civic coupe. I will be cheaper than replacing the cables.
