97 civic hx - How remove the rear speakers? Also problem with rear seat lock
i have a 97 civic hx coupe
and im trying to remove the 6x9's in the back
BUT CAN NOT take them out and its pissing me off heavinly
please help me i looked at many tutorials and the chiltons book and everything
but i cant get the back cover off to remove those 6x9's
i bought some kenwoods for my back and im trying to put them in but i cant remove the molding piece off the back seat, please help
and im trying to remove the 6x9's in the back

actually there is one problem
the back lock to the seats was tempered with
like i took it apart thinking it had something to do with the removal and it didnt and now i dont no the assembly to put it back together to make it work properly. any help?

I remember replacing my rear speakers in my coupe and it's not something I'd like to deal with ever again.
This is a coupe thing btw, not an HX specific issue.
From what I can remember we had to;
- Remove the rear seat bottom.
- Remove the rear seat upper sections.
- Remove at least one of the side panels in the rear (the big ones that make the sides of the car inside). Two might make it easier, but it's a pain anyway.
- Remove the lock cylinder in the rear deck (PITA IIRC).
After those parts are out that should let you remove the rear deck cover IIRC.
From a quick scan, this looks pretty much what you have to do:

ya i took apart everything... EVERYTHING! in my back seat i have nothing left.... its all frame....
but now i have a problem with my seat lock, i dont no how to rearrange it back into the way its supposed to correctly be aligned to work properly. i accidentally took a piece off and it all fell apart
