Re: 97 civic hatch CX brake question (racing_reject_001)
Theres tons on brake parts for your car. If you want to upgrade you can go with a big brake kit, or if you just want to replace them go with OEM. Brembo also has OEM type rotors that are available blank or slotted. Cross drilled probably isnt worth it. Some people say the holes take too much surface area away reducing friction and can crack. Get quality parts and change your brake fluid, bleed it right and you should be good.

I know people with rear disk conversions and working parking brakes. To see if it has ABS, there's a sensor that goes into the drum or dust shield. It's a wire (opposed to the tubes with the bleeder valve on the end of it which is the brake line), you can't miss it - or if it's stock, you'll have an ABS light on the gauge cluster.
Also, just a lil FYI: Cross drilled won't give you any better life out of your rotors unless you autoX or roadrace - and I doubt you are.
Regular brembo brakes and hawk pads are probably your best bet. Though honestly on a daily driver autozone **** will work 100%...
