97 civic ex low idle?

Icon2 97 civic ex low idle?

Ok guys i have looked arounf a bit and cant really find the answer to this my car is idleing fine when i crank it up, but once it heats up it idles down to like 500 rpm's. I doent understand why its doing this plz help. Its a D16Y8 by the way.

Could it be my wires or distributor? i changed spark plugs not long ago. NGk G power plugs.

Does the idle just drop and stay there or does it fluctuate?

Try turning on the A/C. See if it jumps up or it stays down. Try cleaning the IAC valves. Also when you take the IAC out, check to see if there are holds or maybe someone slap on the auto mani like my previous owner did.

This is only for manual cars, assuming yours is manual too.
