Icon4 97 civic ex b16 build

Sup guys this is my first build I’ll be posting in here. I’ve been out of the game for a while, I’ll be posting progress as i do it. I bought the car bone stock minus headers and intake with a y8 on it. Hopefully having this done around July/August sometime. My goal is 550 whp or more. I also will be parting out everything motor wise from this pinto and whoever wants these ugly *** tail lights . It Should be fun. Let’s begin.

Well right now the block is about to get sent to CSS. Then when it comes back it’ll go to machine shop get decked etc. internally the block is going to have manley rods and wiseco pistons. COmpression ratio between 9:5:1-9:8:1 and moroso oil pan.
Then for the head I’m going ferrea 5000 valves supertech valve springs and titanium retainers I’m Compton plating if I want to go ahead and do a three angle valve job I am currently working on the head just freshening up the ports on them. For the Cam’s I am going pro ones. And my turbo kit is going to be from go auto works. Precision 6262 turbo. That’s a quick little run down and it’s going to be tuned on E 85

This is where I would go for the oil pan if you need to upgrade it.

thanks man and heck no that wing is definitely coming off soon as i have a spare few hours with the car and those ugly a** tail lights are going too. I’ll replace those with EM1 tail lights. I’m just so busy right now I’m doing good to eat lunch and dinner

What issues have you heard of with them?? Other than the turbo bung being in a bad spot.... Mine works pretty well.

Looks like the makings of a great build

thank you sir. And hell if it is in a bad spot that’s something that you can easily work around. But I am going to go with GSR cams because they make good power on boost, plus i could put 500$ towards a twin disc.

Valve cover and oil pan. 120$ for both. Couldn’t turn it down.

Almost every mention of moroso pans on this forum is followed by saying that it leaks.

I will say that any pan will leak, especially if the pan is tightened to much. I will definitely keep you updated on that after the build is completed . If it leaks obnoxiously I’ll buy a better one or I’ll just weld bungs on to the factory OEM pan.

Had to cut radiator support a little so it would fit.

The way i mounted it was cut slots at the bottom of the support so it would drop down in them.

Then put some zip ties to hold it in place. It’s actually Pretty snug believe it or not. Also relocated my horn to the top left of the intercooler.

Pressure washed the engine bay. Was going to paint it but changed my mind because it’s not that bad after i cleaned it.

Got bored so i put my speed factory 4 bar map sensor on the throttle body. Also decided to go with the skunk2 alpha series throttle body because i had pro series last time and it would stick sometimes at the butterfly.

Some goodies i picked up from some buddy’s at HPTAUTOSPORT

More parts i picked up today for HPT

MFACTORY lsd for my b16 transmission

Also got bored and put my shifter **** on my shifter. Decided to go with skunk2 **** and B&M short shifter.

Comp twin disc clutch. Was going to go un sprung stage 5 but figured i would regret it soon as i started to drive it.

thank you sir, i can’t wait till it done either lol. Should be next month. I’m on the edge about tuning on e85 or 93. Just because e85 isn’t to consistent and 93 is everywhere. Idk I’ll finger it out lol

Meh, e85 is still pretty forgiving though. I know I've filled up with the winter stuff many times and it never ran any different, just use slightly conservative timing. Or better yet, use an ethanol sensor.
