97 Civic DX Coupe H22 Swap Looking For More Power
I just bought a 1997 Honda Civic DX Coupe with an H22 swap. It’s also chipped and tuned. I’m looking to get more horsepower out of it and make it faster. The guys I bought it from said not to go above 10 pounds of boost or I could bust a rod, so I don’t know if I want to install a turbo. Any recommendations on how I can add some more power, and if you do have recommendations, what brand of that part do you recommmend?

My civic is boosted 8 psi and makes decent power. The problem is with the cylinder liners are FRM you cant run forged pistons on them. If you go higher boost level you will risk cracking ringlands

You can run the Mahle Gold Series pistons in a stock FRM sleeve. The sleeve is strong... the factory piston is brittle.
