97' civic dx with a 93' d16z6 powerloss
ok so its got this knock and im not great with cars obviously , ive re did the gap on the head rods , still had a knock and replaced the tps sensor and the knock got louder , so i parked it for the winter... now before i did all that when i was driving it the motor would miss acouple times and the rpms wouldnt go up then it would go like it had power as if there was nothing wrong, im not sure if something is beyond fixing or if i could rebuild it, going to drop a junkyard motor in it for now but id like to rebuild the d16 and turbo it eventually , so wat id like to know if its rebuildable , or if its an easy fix id rather leave it in the car and fix it. thanks for reading
edit: *also there is about 250k miles on the motor.
*and about a year before this happened i snapped my timing belt and bent 3 rods , i replaced those n the belt and it ran perfect with no knocks pings or spray paint can sounds at all, could even hear the vtec slightly switch over. could i of twisted the cam? even if it ran fine after ?
