Default 97 Civic/d16z6 swap - Is a p2e the correct ECU?

I just bought a 97 honda civic lx 5 speed, done some research. The motor is a d16z6 vtec motor. My ecu is a p2e. The vtec is not hooked up and no wires to plug in to the vtec. Is this the correct motor and ecu?

You must create informative rather than vague thread titles. Title edited.

You need an OBD1 P28 ECU for the engine.

The original engine for the 97 Civic LX is the D16Y7, which is the match for the P2E ECU.
