97 civic with d15y7 mini me swap

So I bought a 97 civic 5 speed with a d15y7 engine swap currently runs and a 97 civic auto. with b16y8 which don't run. I want to swap the head on the y8 to the y7 so I can have VTech of course. I've been scanning forums about the mini me swap but can find a specific 1 for the 97 civic. What all do I need to pull off the auto y8 Civic to make it work on the y7 civic.

I assume you mean D16Y8 engine, the one stock for a 1997 EX. To convert an OBDII DX/LX to an OBDII manual EX you need some sort of VTEC engine, manual EX intake with 2-wire IACV, and manual EX ECU. The intake and ECU from your automatic parts car will not work here.

Idk if u misunderstood me but I have two 97 civics. One has a d15y7 which has 5speed that currently runs (of course not stock for year model) and one that has a d16y8 auto trans which has sohc vtech and I've read you can do a "mini me" swap and put the y8 (VTech) head on the d15 block. I want to know what parts(ecu, intake, etc.) I can pull off before I have to go fine stuff at junk yard and pay more $. I can do swap myself

You need an intake and ECU from a manual EX. The ones on the automatic are different. The automatic intake has a 3-wire IACV instead of two wire. The automatic ECU will throw transmission codes when installed in a manual car.
