Default 97 civic cx acceleration problem

I understand this car is not a powerhouse being mostly stock 5 speed but it seems it can't get out of its own way. Lately driving first second pull decently but like 5th gear and other going like 55 in fifth I can put pedal to the floor and car barely wants to go and it's not slipping cause rpms don't jump way up any ideas

That's normal for an EJ6. Downshift.

When was your last full tune-up? If you haven't replaced your plugs, wires, cap, and rotor, and checked ignition timing in more than a year, you should do that. It may or may not help with the lack of power, but it should increase your fuel economy at least.
