97 Civic Coupe ITR swap, Header and CAT issues
97 coupe with ITR swap.
Friend wants to retain stock CAT, but header will not fit because it has a 2.5 collector.
Would this work? If he gets this part? The 2.5 Inlet to 2.25 outlet? And it would need to be welded correct? its not a plug and play?

Any help would be appreaciated, Thanks.
Also would a omni test pipe just fit?, so when smog time comes he can take the header and test pipe off and just bolt on stock header/cat?

thats retarded, his stock cat is like 2" or 1.75" opening, kick him in the ***** and tell him to pick up a jdm itr cat or ctr or im not sure what size us itr is but probably 2.25" ???
if he has the 4-1 jdm itr header dont rape your car and put the stock civic cat on there, the civic piping is tooooooo small

jdm/type r collectors are 2.5" so yea a omni power test pipe will work but only if there is 2.5" exhaust piping.

OBX makes a REAL cat with 2.5 inlet/outlet that he could use, but he may still need to have the front piece welded on. I got one but had to use an O2 simulator because my 2ndary O2 sensor was fugged up.
