97 civic coupe ALL MoToR BUILD!!!!!!!
Hey there everybody, thought I would share what i've been working on for the past 2 years. I got my first civic when I was 15 and started building it until I was 18. I ended with a bone stock Poormans Type R w/ gsr trans. rims and suspension.

I was dumb and decided to sell it to get a RWD car so I can try something new, such as drifting because my brother got a 240sx and started to drift which was pretty cool. Sold her and bought a 88 Mazda FC turbo II.... worst mistake of my life due to the dumbass previous owner messing up every vacuum line there was. I was a rotary beginner and didn't have the money nor the time to mess with it. Sooooo I decided to sell that and go back to my true love... HONDA!!!!
I found a 97 civic coupe with 167,xxx miles and couldn't resist it. I had it for about 2 months and started buying parts for it.
Lets fast forward to a year and a half where the car stayed this way for a while. The car may not have changed but the part room did. HeHeHe
Not the best pic.
Part room as of December 2010
After Christmas and my birthday and gathering different parts from Honda I was able to start building the bottom end.
Part list:
B18c1 GSR block bored .20 over
Eagle Rods
12.8:1 Supertech pistons
ARP Headstuds
ACL Race Bearings
Cometic Head Gasket
Moroso 5.5 qt. oil pan
Following parts BNIB from Honda/Acura
Type R crank
water pump
oil pump
rear main seal w/ housing
Timing Belt tensioner
coolant tube
stat w/ both housings
All necessary bolts

I decided to take a break from the motor so I can work on the suspension. I placed and order with n1 Concepts and a week later I received my 36mm ITR 5 lug swap. I forgot take a pic of everything when it first came in but here are some pics of the rear trailing arms when I started to work on them. Literally every bolt on these arms were rusted. after 2 cans of PB Blaster and a couple hours later I got everything disassembled.
Before some elbow grease and paint
After
I work at Napa so I got a pretty good deal on some SKF rear hubs. Also purchased some ARP extended wheel studs.
Project Kics R26 lug nuts
Rear Suspension Parts:
SKF hub assys.
OEM splash guard from Acura
ARP Extended studs
Brembo ITR Drilled Rotors
Hawk HP Plus pads
Hardrace TA bushings
OEM reman Calipers (forgot the brand)
D2 Racing upper Control Arms
D2 Racing Toe Arms
D2 Racing Lower Control Arms
D2 Racing Coilovers
ASR Rear subframe brace w/ 24mm sway bar
My girlfriend told me she wants to build a motor so I did a little searching and came across a deal that I couldn't pass up.
Complete B17 block for $100 bucks and a b16 head for $250. Head was in a previous pic.

Re: 97 civic coupe ALL MoToR BUILD!!!!!!!
I had a big plan in mind that I really needed to save my money for but before it can be done I had to move to the interior of the car and start on that. I searched up and down for the best price and finally found it at Wine Country Motorsports.
Sparco Fighter Seat
Takata 4 point Harness (Found this at some place on ebay for stupid cheap.)
DO NOT listen to anybody that says an OMP seat rail will fit on a Sparco seat with a OMP slider. They are a liar. Use Sparco everything if thats the seat you buy.
I had to cut about 60% off the front of the OMP rail just get the slider to fit.
After I did the cutting, now stripping and painting.
I had my 20th birthday during this time and I received these in the mail as a birthday present from my girlfriend.
36mm Gator Axles
We took a trip to Atlanta for the Nopi Nationals and picked up a couple things.
