97 Civic B18A1 Turbo Swap Won't Turn Over
Hi
I'm New to This Site And need a lil Help With my 97 civic b18a1 turbo
that i just pick'd up i'll give u the low down on what problem's ive came across so far
1. It did not run when i bought but it did run a week before i bought it
2. who ever it the swap before i got the car i noticed there's alot of connectors on the wiring harness ain't hooked up to anything im now thinking that might be part of the problem but like i said im new to this and always wanted to build a civic so i figure'd this is somewhat of a good start
3.when i pick'd up the car i notice'd the battery was in the trunk with a 6 gage wire running from the front for the positive and a 8 gage wire for the negative so i moved it back under the hood and bought the right gage wire for the negative and the original positive hook up was still there so there was no reason to replace it
4.after putting the battery back under the hood and charged the battery i put some gas in it and tried turning it over and nothing it just cranked so.. i checked to see if i had spark and nothing so the my first thought was the fuse was blown so i checked and it wasn't but replaced it anyways and tried to crank it over again and nothing so i talked to a friend of mine and he said replace the dizzy so i ordered one and put it in today and still nothing
5. who ever it the swap before i got the car i noticed there's alot of connectors on the wiring harness ain't hooked up to anything im now thinking that might be part of the problem but like i said im new to this and always wanted to build a civic so i figure'd this is somewhat of a good start
any ideas on were to start narrowing down the problem would be cool
ill post some pics i sent my friend before i bought the new dizzy
