Default 97 civic asap

Did a timing belt job on the car top dead on everything took it off 4 times now to check. compression on all is 160 have fire and fuel.... Need help have 2 machanics here and we are all scratching our heads....

well will it not start, i dont think you said? Did you do the timing for the crank by the mark on the oil pump and the t-belt cog on the crank. If you did it by the timing marks on the plastic cover you did it wrong, those are ignition timine marks.

did it by the oil pump mark and the dash on the timing pully mark. will not start.

so you did it by the t-belt gear and oil pump, and not the accessory belt pulley marks? If so then the bottoms right, and it you did the top by the "7'o clock" mark on the cam gear and the mark on the plastic behind it, which basically has the word up in the upward position the timing should be straight. Is it tensioned good, and your sure you have fuel and spark?

Well dang, are the plugs wet any? Did you mess with the dizzy any?

plugs were wet took them out and cleaned the off(new plugs too)but put the old ones back it to double check. Advanced the dizzy and retarded it didnt help.
