97 civc hatch swap and suspension
I have a '97 civic hatch and im planning on doing an engine swap really soon. I have two motors in mind, but both have their own pros and cons. My first choice in which i was leaning more to was the H22. H22 has really good power and with some Hasport mounts it seems like it would be a great swap. But, ive heard a couple of things like that H22 in a civic doesnt handle good and that you cant drop your car low with it. I dont have to slam it, but it would be nice to keep the car low. I was wondering what the best suspension would be with an h22 swap. Ive been wanting Tein ss for a while now, and ive heard alot of good things about it. But ive also heard that D2 was really good and possibly better than tein ss for the price. What do you guys suggest? The other swap i was thinking about was b18 gsr. However, it would end up being more expensive with a significant power loss compared to H22. Its just that because its a b-series it would drop in easier and handle alot better in a civic. So, let me know what you guys think about which swap i should do and which suspension would be best for it. Thanks!
