96 civic with power windows/locks, the problem is the door jamb wiring harness connector broke leaving me unable to roll up/down the windows or lock/unlock the doors. I hard wired the wiring and extended it a little to repair and now the drivers side windows will go up and down but the passenger won't. Both door locks work to lock/unlock it's just the passenger window up/down doesn't function.

I have 3 wires left over on the floor harness side. Blue, blue/white and gray/black which I'm sure are for the speakers and power mirrors. I removed the wiring for the power mirrors and the speakers on the door side of the harness.

There were two sets of blue/black and also yellow/red wires on the floor harness side where there was only 1 wire of each blue/black and yellow/red. I combined the pair of blue/black on the floor harness with the single blue/black on the door harness and did the same with the yellow/red.


Does this sound right? Does anyone have a summary of what each wire does? I can only find the diagram showing what the connector pinout is but it only gives a vague "power windows" or "door locks" not "neg pas window up" or anything like that. Any help is greatly appreciated. I live in florida and it's hot as **** with only one window down and no ac.

Thanks for the diagrams, I still cannot figure this out. It's pissing me off. I've checked the fuses, those are fine. The wiring seems legit but for whatever reason... nothing wants to work correctly for me at the moment. Drivers works fine though .

Hehe... the problem was the wiring harness in the passenger door... I forgot that I had taken the passenger door panel off to manually raise the window and put the door panel back on... without connecting the harness to the window motor. So it was stupidity on my part and I spent 3 days messing with the driver harness side. Always check the small stuff first to save yourself time and headaches.
