96+ HELP PLEASE (hatch)
What can I do to a 96+ hatch with around $10,000 ?
I want to put a b-16 turbo in, just as long as it can handle it.
What kind of stuff will i have to buy for the motor to handle turbo ? (pistons, rods, crankshaft, etc, etc)
Will I need new suspension to keep car stable ?
After the b-16 turbo, what should I buy to keep it safe ? (turbo timer, do I need any gauges soo I know what is going on in my motor and what kind of gauges ?)

oh yeah and get a boost guage and an EGT guage, you dont need a turbo timer unless you are impatient and cant wait 30seconds to a minute to shut off your car

That's a pretty vague question you're asking. A B16 turbo is definitely within reason and you do have $10K to spend but it will get pricey, especially if you decide to build the motor up for boost. If you want something moderate, consider a B16 with a Greddy kit (those 2 things alone will set you back around $5-6K). For safe high boost applications, you will need to build the motor and tune it with a stand-alone. Suspension and other areas of your car should not be neglected in your quest for speed. If anything, suspension for turns (real world driving) is more important then a 400hp motor. Surf the web and read posts on this board for some info, advice, and suggestions. Don't jump into anything without reserching first and good luck.

donate it to an establishment for the well in debt, specifically me. j/p
man, what would i do to 10k. i million different things. i agree with elusiveracing. use half and set the other into mf's, ira's, or such. i'm planning to do that myself. use it smartly. and who knows, the money you have now will double in a year. good luck.
mutual funds, stay away from savings bonds.
with 5k you can have a good running and tuned out b16 turbo, if that's what you plan.
i'd stick with mine. b20 na or FI

i'd say, visit your nearest financial consultant, ones that do not charge for a visit. or go online, and search for a good financial institution. if you have a relative who's into investments, he/ she would be a good guidance as well.
i just started out, or on the verge, so my information will not be that reliable, i'm very sure, someone else can. hoped i help.
look at what you did, you turned this into a financial post... hahaha, just kiddin' good luck

Re: 96+ HELP PLEASE (elusiveracing23)
boost a 1.8 ls, its the most popular boosted motor, lost more help if you need it. You can also do a better build because the motors are easier to come buy.
