EK9 B16B TSL

I have a 96 hatch with a B16A2. Here's the problem. I dont have any spark. I've tested for power to coil, and icm, both are fine. The tdc, ckp, cyp sensors are all fine. I thought maybe the dizzy was just messed up so i bought a new one. That didn't help. Theres continuity between all the wires comin out of the ecu goin into the distributor, too. I'm totally lost now, I have no clue what could be causing no spark. Anybody got ideas? Thanx

P.S. - The car was running fine a few weeks ago. Oh yeah and I got a new icm and coil with the dizzy i bought

I have the same setup, almost exactly, did you try testing coil power while someone was turning the motor over?? it will show normal till you do this.

Yeah, it has constant power coming out, should it be pulsing? Did you keep the obd2b harness when u did the swap?

i have constant power to both primary wires to the coil when cranking. is this normal or should 1 wire be pulsing?

yeah the fuel pump is priming, and the spark plugs are wet. Last night i tried it again and it got spark once but it hasnt since. the icm is putting a constant signal to the coil, i think its supposed to be pulsing.

Spark plugs shouldn't be wet.

it could be the distributor i got a bad distributor when i did my swap and i got another one and the car turned right over

Is the wireharness arcing on the motor at all there maybe short? If not the distributor it could also be the computer try put a your ecu in a friends car with similiar swap, u can try to putt another ecu in yur car, or u can also do this with distributor. Also check check ign fuse (15 amp) in the fuse box in the dash and the engine bay ? Hopefully this works or steers u to the problem but if u find the problem please let me know ok?

hey thanx for the input, i got a new ecu and dizzy, still doesnt work. i put the dizzy in another car and it ran, the ecu should be working. the fuse isnt blown either. i know the ecu sends a signal to the igniter to make the igniter send a pulse to the coil. but the igniter is just putting out a constant power, so the coil wont put out to the spark plugs. i really dont wanna buy another ecu and none of my friends have an obd2b ecu for me to try. ill keep tryin stuff and updatin...... thanx

okay u know its not yur dizzy ok ecu maybe but i think it might be a short too so have a buddy start the car and look in at engine wireharness for a short or arcing(AT NIGHT) .It has to be either yur ecu or the wires or u dont have all grounds hook up properly. Call around to shops, also they can check yur ecu so maybe u can get yur money back and check yur old one too.

aight that sounds like a good idea, ill have the ecu checked out...ive already checked the harness, no arcing, im thinking whatever sensor goin into the ecu that tells it when to send the signal for spark might be bad.

That would be your crank sensor in the distributor one on other side of ignitor and other in gear area in the distributor.U told me that u check dizzy already. Also did u check your alternator sometimes this could also be a problem? Also autozones check stuff for free ?

ill try the alternator but that was workin fine before this problem started. rite now im just tryin to rewire all the questionable connections til i find out anything...
