Re: 96 fuse box (NOFX)
I saw that, and I checked all my fuses. I tried changing the light bulb, but it still isn't working do you know anything else I could try?

Re: 96 fuse box (Tyler Con)
Do you have an aftermarket radio?
'96-'98 civics had the dome light wired through the radio (the brain & antenna of the keyless entry is mounted there) so when you unlocked it with the keyless entry, the dome light turned one.
Unless you rewire it to the door switch directly, it won't come on when you open the door. BUT, it should still turn on when you turn the switch on.
If: Off & Door = Off, but On = On
Rewire to switch - that's most likely your problem.
