Default 96 ex engine????
so a couple years ago i bought a 96 civic ex...it had a d16z6 in it! i thought those only came in 92-95! am i wrong?

no you are right.
the 96 ex comes with a d16y8.
they swapped it

yea thats what i thought....everyone thought i was crazy, i got rid of it though it was an automatic.....i miss it though!

yea cuz your right. the z6 came on the 92-95 Exs.
you should of just changed it to a manual tranny
