96 EX civic, d15 swap, now having trouble
Ok, I didn't re-torque the head on my 96 EX a few years ago, ended up slamming water into #4, cheaped out on new engine, JDM d15 vtec was much cheaper than y8 replacement. I installed it with y8 distributor, kept the crank sensor, used y8 manifold, injectors etc. Everything worked fine until about 3 months ago, started bogging down when accelerating, replaced distributor components, wires, plugs, coil, seemed to fix it. Now it's running like crap again, just replaced plugs again, switched to OBD1 Distributor, ( cut and matched the wires), and today replaced the fuel pump. The car starts fine, idles smooth, but when taking off from a stop, has no power at all, runs up to redline, hits vtec, no CEL, but no power. I have checked and re-checked timing, tried moving timing belt one tooth, just runs the same no matter what. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
