96 Ex 4 door front brake options
What are some options for upgrades of my front brakes? I have stock wheels, so big brake kits are out. The car is mostly daily driven but I would like to improve the brakes. Are Integra brakes any improvement or are they the same size rotor and same caliper? What are some good street pads?
Thanks
Matt

Sounds like a daily driver, right?
I'd get Brembo Drilled rotors. I believe your fronts, being an EX, are the same as an Integra. It's the CX, DX, & LX that have smaller fronts.
Hawk pads are pretty nice. But Axxis Metal Masters will do just fine too.

Thanks.
Why drilled rotors? I have heard that they can crack, or is that not a problem on street cars? Have you heard anything about Powerslot rotors?
What about brake fluid? I have heard that Motul is good. I have also heard of some new stuff called something blue or blue something. Do you know what it is and if it is any good?
Thanks again,
Matt

My Brembos never cracked and I got my lifes use on them. I created a big lip on the edges.
Powerslots are supposed to be extremely good, but run around the same, if not a few bucks more, than Brembo. A pair of front from Brembo is about $135, Powerslot I think is about $145.
Either way in getting slotted or drilled rotors, once they wear down you have to get new ones. Both brands I believe, Brembo for sure, guarantee no warping. And you can't resurface either style too.
Brembo does make a stock replacement disc, solids though. I just put them on my car and they work great. A lot cheaper too.
I use STP Brake Fluid. Remeber, just a daily driver doesn't require all the top notch product. Motul is one of the best out there.
