96 EK OBD2 to OBD1 HELP
So I have a 96 EK hatch I just bought and it has a 99 B16A2 Motor with matching ECU P2T. Now I don't know what harness the previous owner used but its a hacked mess.
I want to convert to a P28 CHIPPED ECU.
What do I need to convert OBD2 to OBD1?
I've been searching around and I can't find a solid answer. Some people say that I would just need the obd1 ecu and jumper harness, other say I would need to convert to OBD1 dizzy and OBD1 alternator.
If I need to convert to OBD1 dizzy and OBD1 alternator, apparently I need to do some wire work.
I want to convert to OBD1 to get rid of sec o2 sensor and EVAP system in order to pass emission where I live.
Any input would be much help. If there is a forum about it answering my question with an exact answer, please link it below.

Simplistic easiest way
use 96-98 ex civic harness
use em1 b16a2 tbracket
buy a obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper harness
find any obd1 ecu vtec already preferred . But if not it’s ok. Go to a tuner shop to have it “chipped and basemapped for b16a2”
voila done simple easy
your b16a2 if came out of em1. It’ll be straight plug into your 96-98 civic harness.
use 96-98 ex civic harness
use em1 b16a2 tbracket
buy a obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper harness

So if I get a obd1 ecu and a jumper harness, Will i need to do anything else? Any changes on the distributor or injectors??

Will I need to change anything else or rewire anything?
So if i just bought a obd1 ecu and jumper harness and plug it in, everything will work like normal?

I already answered your question
Buy obd2a to obd1 jumper harness. Buy obd1 ecu. Get it chipped basemap for your B16A. And voila done
i did not read this part

might be the least headache if u do emissions with the original engine d16y in the car get ur tabs/emissions done
then swap it out to the b16
if your state emissions like below said does the obd2 plug emissions check u will fail

hmmm, I have a 99 EM1, and I cannot pass emissions in Idaho if I leave my chipped P28 in it. Emissions checked for an OBDII ECU, and if you do not have one, it'll fail. Unless your emissions are different than Idaho's. Might want to pose the question if your OBDII car can pass emissions with an OBDI ECU in your state.
