96 ek---obd II ls swap BLOWN MOTOR
the car was ls swapped, turbo, running on 5 psi untuned....
needless to say, i bought the car not knowing much about turbo setups and within a month, the motor was shot....
so after a few months of sitting, i finally got the ls motor out and it's being replaced w/ a d16y7 and dx tranny ( i know i know, but i just need to get it on the road). which ecu would be best for this car just to be reliable?? stock ecu or will the ls work?? if i'm correct, the wiring harness from the ls is identical, right?? all help and info to help me get this done would be appreciated! thanks guys

I would get the Stock ECU, The Fuel maps are different so it will throw a code for running rich.
And probably a couple other ones.
If the wiring harness is the stock one which is OBD2a then the plugs on Both ECU's will be the same.
I have an D16y7 ECU if you need it, Its from an automatic. But you can convert it to Manual, Or just use it, But it will throw codes for Automatic transmission Malfuntion.

i cant think of any reason it wouldnt work just the same besides the CEL. Ill ship it to you for 50 Dollars. Ill never use it, Theyre on EBAY for almost a 100. But first find out if it will work Flawlessly besides the One CEL,
I dont wanna sell you something you cant use.
