96 Ek hatch/JDM Type R motor/b16 trans - Axle fitment question
Hey, I have a 96 Ek hatch and a JDM Type R motor and b16 trans. I replaced the passenger side axle a while back and figured an EK si is a b series motors, and so is the type r, so i ordered an axle for a 99 si. The passenger side went in fine. I'm now doing the Driver side axle and after getting three or four wrong parts from the parts house, I got one that looked right. Unfortunately, the splined side that goes into the carrier shaft into the trans is only half the length of the original splined side, so it rattles horribly if you drive it, because its not completely seated. So basically my question is this; am I ordering the incorrect part? or a 99 civic si axle should be fitting and they are just sending me the wrong parts each time?

Re: Axle fitment question
right, which is what I'mtelling the parts houses I use at work, and they keep sending me the female inboard joint axles. Tried using the integra and delsol models as well, and it comes up the same number. even mainline places like autozone have the female inboard joint. very fustrating.

U need the Intermediate SHAFT, and then all axles should work as long as are B-series !
