96 EK Coupe - brake lights not working after stereo stolen

Default 96 EK Coupe - brake lights not working after stereo stolen

Got a question, friends coupe stereo got stolen, ever since then the tail lights don't work when you push the brake. When you arm/disarm the alarm they blink but not when you actually we the pedal. Any ideas?

Does the horn work? If not, check whether 15A hood fuse 52 (brake lights and horn) is blown.

Check whether voltage reaches the brake switch on the pedal.

Look for a broken Wht/Grn wire in the area where the stereo is installed or other dash areas damaged by the thief.

Have your buddy press the brake pedal down while you test whether voltage teaches the brake bulb socket.
