i was driving my 96 coupe home last night in the worst snow storm i ever known and hit a big boulder of ice in the middle of the road which cracked my type R lip in half and took a chunk out of the bumper.
My ? is will a 99-00 front bumper fit on a 96 coupe or do i need different bumper support? please help guys asap, my car looks ghetto as hell now.

For the 100000th time, no.
You need a complete 99-00 front end or another 96 bumper. The headlights, hood, fenders, grilles and bumper covers are different.

you dont need to change the radiator support but you will have to cut some tabs by the headlight..and yes you will need hood, fenders, lights, bumper, etc

I don't think you know what you are talking about. The SiR bumpers are for the 96-98 civics. As well as the real SiR lip.

thanks guys... sir bumpers i could still do without replaceing any reinforcement im assuming. I have a cf hood so i dont really want to go through all the trouble of getting new fenders, lights, etc. but this has been very helpful. and ok maybe it was more like searching for 10 min., but the search **** on here sucks man, it takes out anything like EK, Ef, etc. WTF?! you think they would have fixed that after how many years.

the search doesn't suck here - you need to learn how to use it properly... you cant search for 2 letters like ek eg dc etc... you would get 80% of the threads posted
if you clicked on archive & limited search to "92-00 civic & del sol forum" & searched "bumper" or "front end" - all you would have to do is look at the titles for one that says 99-00 bumper on 96-98 civic....then click on that thread
please do not use BS excuses...its not that hard to do properly...not too mention it has been covered 100's of times whats one or 100 more matter right?
EDIT - yes, SIR bumpers are bolt-on on 96-98 civics
EDIT #2 - you are an '04 member lol you need to practice searching lol

ya, search sucks. It's the same on the VW forum as well. Oh well. Just to note from personal experiance; take it very easy with those bumpers in the cold. As soon as the temperature drops those things turn into glass and shatter very very easily.
