96 dx hatch, tail light fuse keeps blowing
Every few weeks the tail light fuse has been blowing. replaced the fuse 4 times so far.
Last night the lights were on as I shut the hatch & the lights went out / fuse blew when I shut the hatch. So that gives me a general idea that the short is in the rear area of the car.
Is there a common problem with EK hatches like water leaking around the tail lights that could cause things to short?
The car is stock, tail lights have never been removed.

Also inspect where the harness bends when the hatch is opened and closed, very common on hatch backs and trunk deck cars alike.

Do you have an aftermarket stereo installed?? If so, first thing I'd check is the wiring back there. This happened to me everytime i'd hit a bump, the Illumination wire was open and laying against metal/other wires, causing it to short out.
I'd check there first before you start tearing everything apart
