Default 96 cx oxygen sensor primary vs seconday problem

i was wondering if there was a difference in oxygen sensors between the primary and secondary oxygen sensors in the car other than the colors of the wires and the look of the sensor, like does the seconday sensor have any mechanical difference on the way the engine performs than the primary one or does it matter where you put each sensor
