96+ civics with swaps...
Who here has a b16/b18 swap? Just curious as to how much you guys paid (both for swaps where you did yourself or swaps where you had a shop install). My girlfriend is dying with boredom of her 96 civic and wants a swap or ditch the car. I'm trying to convince her to keep it...and looking for a good swap for her.

Ok, well, not only because I don't have tons of money to spend on her car (I got my own project going...ya know? ), but she doesn't want to spend a bunch of $$$, how cheap do you guys think a swap is possible? I'm hoping under $3000 with labor? Is that a dream?

u could get a 1st gen b16 swap for around a 1000 bucks hasport makes a kit to use the cable tranny in your hydro car. than the rest would be wiring still i would think u would be under that 3000 dollar mark u set.

you will spend more money on this swap than a second gen b16
dont half *** it.
buy a second gen b16. about 2400~ for the full swap.

Buy a fisrt gen longblock and get a Hydro tranny, ECU and Axles........you'll be good. as for the labor/work of putting it in do it yourself so easy and helps you know that its done right, if you know what your are doing
