96 civic vacuum leak help

Default 96 civic vacuum leak help

I have a 96 civic that when on cold start up the car shuts off after 3 seconds... i ran the CEL and it threw 2 codes... 02 sensor bank 1 and Evap vacuum leak... how do i check for the vacuum leak?

Get a manual for the evap system, or have a friend spray some starting fluid on the backside of the engine near the intake manifold. BE CAREFUL! Starting fluid is highly flammable. If the car keeps running in the area it was sprayed then you'll soon find a hose off somewhere in that area. Good luck.

Theres only like around 4 hoses to the evap can, if it was me i would take them off and check or replace them.
