96 Civic - slow cranking
Hi guys, have a few questions, thought you guys might be able to help.
In the past three-four days, every time I crank the car, it cranks slowly. It's not extremely slow, but it's definitely noticeable. I took it to auto zone, they tested the battery/starter and charging system, everything passed. Battery was at 100%, voltage was read at approx (with car off) 12.9 volts and (car on) 14.1 volts. Everything checks out excellently. They suggested possibly fuel filter, but.. I don't think that's it, wouldn't that just cause it to crank longer... not slower? Bought a fuel filter anyway, and hopefully will get to it soon.
Also, at a certain point when I press the accelerator, it makes... What can only be described as a cricket. Like, a slightly lower cricket's chirp, but it's a hum. No clue what the heck that can be, anyone have a guess? Doesn't seem to be an issue, just... Wondering wtf it is.
Thank you in advanced!
