'96 Civic Sedan Engine
sorry for the crappy sidekick pic.
stupid noob question.
to make a long story short, my boy bought a 96 civic sedan for a daily driver. we popped the hood and i discovered it certainly wasnt the stock motor because the valve cover said vtec. i asked the guys in the ef/crx forum and they told me it might be a d16z6 or a jdm d15b because i saw something like 13b at the end of the code. i wanted to know what motor you guys thought it might be and also as far as tuning what possibilities this engine could have. thanks and once again sorry for the noobishness and the crappy pic.

Look at the front of the block where it connects to the transmission, you will see the engine code located there.
Keep in mind, that will be the BLOCK code, I assume it will read D15B, or D16Z6, it doesn't look like a Y8 engine to me.

Could just be re-using stock CX/DX Exhaust.
