96 Civic - please help identify part I broke when replacing fuel tank
Hey everyone, I am brand new to this site and to owning a Honda.
I purchased a 96 EX Civic Coupe, bone stock, and had to replace the fuel tank. I did so myself in my driveway, everything went smoothly, except that I broke a plastic clip off of something that is mounted right next to the tank, the clip went to a narrow hose that fits on the fuel tank itself, and my check engine light came on a few days later.
I've been trying to figure out exactly what I broke so I can replace it, but I have no idea what it is called; so I took a picture of it, and hopefully someone on here will be able to point me in the right direction.
Please, anyone who can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate the support.
If the photo is unclear or if you'd like me to take a different one, please just say so and I'll get under the car and pull the plastic heat shield down and get better angles, but hopefully this will suffice.
In case the image didn't self load, this link should work, please let me know if if it does not appear...

Re: Need Help; I have a question regarding my fuel system with a photo.
It was a white "nipple" that had a black hose attached to it; the hose fastened onto the fuel tank itself....I may have to just take the piece out and take another pic huh?

I have not checked the CEL code yet; I'm going to take the plastic cover off the fuel tank tomorrow so I can get some better photos.
Thanks for the feedback so far!

If you pull the code that will tell you what system it is.. Im going to guess its part of the EVAP system. If it wasent you would have alot more problems

Thanks again fellas! I took the part to a local Honda dealership, I'm actually their UPS man, so they got me the piece and the vacuum hoses at their dealer cost....it was around $60 with everything; only issue was that they had to order it, but at least now I'll be able to service the car.
Now if I could only get my Skunk2 Dual bend to go in nice and easy
