Whatever you do I wouldn't put too much money in that engine. That is a very "tired" engine. It has probably had a long and hard life. Just my $0.02

Cheers

Doesn't sound too bad. My B16 loses around a quart every 1000-1500, but granted I am running a higher compression motor and use synthetic.

do you run the motor hard? when you run a car at wot all the time it tends to suck oil from the pcv valve into the motor to help lube the top of the pistions and rings... It may also have worn out rings or valve gide seals that are leaking inside the motor just from being old..... thats not a lot of oil... I would just drive it and look for a swap to put in there when that one dies.....
