Default 96+ civic front sway bar difference

hello everyone,

i have 97 civic hatch that didnt came with a front and rear sway bar.

i installed a rear sway bar and the car is alot stiffer in corners and it bearly leans to the sides.

now.today i got a front sway bar from a 98 4dr. and my front lca's dont have the brackets on them for it.
should i get different lca's? is it worth the trouble and money?

thanks,

i put a front sway bar off a 98 ex on my 96 cx. i noticed a pretty big difference in corner handling. the front lca's arent that expensive. do it.

Yes, you'll notice a difference. I ran just a rear sway for a few months until I gotten ahold of a front sway.

You can use front LCAs from a 92-00 Civic EX or 94-01 Integra. To make installation easier, just swap the portion with the hole and the bushing, not the part connected to the lower balljoint of the knuckle.

Yes it comes pre-tapped with the holes for the d-brackets. I installed a 96-00 Civic EX front 22mm swaybar on my 99 hatchback and it made a difference. Yes it does induce more understeer, but you get less body roll in the corners. All you need are 96-00 Civic Ex front LCA's.

Don't you need the Si front shock forks?

Only if upgrading to the 26mm Si/CTR front sway bar with Si/CTR front LCAs.

dont forget.. with SI/CTR sway bar upgrade u cannot run traction bar.. w. the EX/HX/LX lca's u can run both sway bar and traction bar

my knowledge the only difference is.. that the stock EX has smaller diameter of swaybar then SI/ctr.. but u can buy aftermarket sway bar for ex/hx/lx lca's that is bigger then si/ctr sway bar
