96 civic ex, "stock"
i recently bought an ex with 120k miles. the car runs great and has a new timing belt and water punp. ive been working to save money to invest in the car and am ready. im going to first do exterior, looking at a body kit and rims, but i need a site with both good products and prices, hard to find.lol.. also ive been told that if im goin to get a body kit and rims the car wouldnt look very good without being lowered a few inches. and then to lower a car i was looking at tokico coilovers, which run around 500+ for a good set. is theres another brand i should look at?
also moneys limited so i was wanting to go with middle class products. whatever help i can get i would really appreciate, thanks guys

Re: (dewoine)
theres sites everywhere. Go to your local book store, pic up some mags, and look. Then decide what you want. Body kits are fine, but unless you have a someone to paint and install it properly, not Macco, then its gonna cost you a lot. Maybe lower it, tokico is good, rims, and a lip for your front bumper. Search for pics on the net, in appearance forum and figure out what YOU like. Nopi.com would be a good place to start for parts. Good luck...

you gotta be pretty ignorant to make that general statement. where did i mention any of that.
---------
kydoster, if you have money for the coilovers, go for them... its the springs that lower the car, not the shocks.

Look through the appearance/cosmetic section of this website. I'm sure your opinions on things will change dramatically. Trust me... it did to me. The whole body kit look just... doesnt look... "clean". IMO. Only some do. But thats a very small fraction of them.
Seriously though, go and look through the appearance cosmetic section of the site. You'll be glad yo udid.

Good god, get off his damn back. Look get what you want, who cares what they say I dont like bodykits, I would say get aftermarket shocks with coilovers so you dont have to worry about blowing them easily. Get a decent set of rims and lower the car a bit. I think once you do those, the body kit wont be needed. Its up to you though man. Like stated above check out other rides. Check out the Member Garage and search for cars like yours. Also check out the A/C forum. Hell even check out cardomain.com. When I first started looking at what I wanted to do with my car I had no idea what I exactly wanted. I searched for almost two months of other cars, and styles and I picked out what I liked.
