I just bought a 96 DX and it is in perfect condition, cept the lever-type thing you pull to pop the hood on the lower left of the steering wheel isnt there. the guy used plyers to pull the cable and pop the hood. I checked majestic honda...no luck...anyone know where i can get this piece for my car cheap....or where i can find it period??!

good idea...i havent looked to actually see if its broken off and looks like its hard to replace due to snapped off sides or anything...but i hope it is replaceable when regarding the way the original one broke or came off

I got one at a dealership too, was about $25. It's the entire hood release cable though, not just the latch. You have to remove it from behind the kick panel, through the fenderwell, and up to the latch. Really wasn't that hard, took me all of maybe 30 minutes.
