96 civic b16a2 swap hard to start when cold!
Hey guys. Let me tell you about my situation.
When I wake up early in the morning to start my car, it will crank then start and then momentarily die. i have to start the car again, and sometimes that will do the trick. when i try and slightly give it gas, it feels like its going to die.
what could be the problem?

I'm looking for P28 ECU at the moment. Ihave the same problem. I checked MAP voltage is 3.5 volts and maybe not enough to power for the transducer (MAP sensor). The MAP sensor converts vacuum pressure to milliamps which the ECU would be able to process. However, with an operating voltage of less than 5 volts, It would be safe to assume that the milliamps generated will be proportional to its power supply and would be off. This would explain the engines poor performance and intermittent sputter.
Also, The ECU supplies power to most engine sensors including a loop back to main relay. The main relay gives power to ecu straight from battery and in return it provides ground back to the main relay to operate its second relay for fuel pump operation.
I came to this conclusion after troubleshooting the ignition circuit and it just so happen that I have a spare distributor on hand and was able to get that out of the picture.

try this
1- turn the key to the start position so that all the electronics and stuff turns on but dont start the car
2- after about 30 seconds try to start the car and it should turn on
happens to my b16a2 in the winter, so thats what i do before i head to school in the morning and works everytime

I have the same problem in my b16a Its not hard to start after I let the fuel pump preasurize, but if its warming up and I hit the gas the idle starts bouncing between 400 and 1500 rpm.
